I hate using corn syrup but I really love the Cracker Jack-ish Snack recipe in
The Complete Tightwad Gazette. I finally hit upon a solution. I substituted maple syrup for the corn syrup and skipped the vanilla extract. It worked out really well. My daughters' friend said we should work for Kettle Corn!
